Once ingredients have combined, begin gradually adding the milk and corn syrup trying to stir as much as possible throughout the process. Heat the mix on a medium for about 12 mins, or until it begins to harden and become thick in consistency. Stir occasionally.
Add in the vanilla and mix it in, then transfer the caramel to a different container or tray to cool. Once cooled you can then cut and shape as you wish.
Be creative! You can also drizzle chocolate or add salt to the caramels, or maybe even something more inventive.
