Adapted from Manitoba Harvest
Ingredients:
- * 3 1/2 cup rolled oat
- * 1/2 cup hemp heart
- * 1/2 cup chia seed
- * 3/4 cup almond, freshly ground into tiny piece
- * 1/2 scant cup honey or agave
- * 1/2 cup applesauce
- * 3/4 cup peanut butter
- * 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
- * 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Pour almonds into a food processor and process until small pieces are formed. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine oats, Hemp Hearts, chia seeds, ground almonds.
- In a separate, medium-sized bowl, combine wet ingredients. Mix well with a spatula or spoon.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix until combined well, using hands if necessary.
- Place bar mixture in an 8 x 8-inch square dish lined with parchment paper and press down firmly.
- Chill dish in fridge or freeze in freezer, until mixture is firm.
- Cut into bars or squares. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve, to prevent the bars from getting too soft.
