Ingredients:

  • * 3 1/2 cup rolled oat
  • * 1/2 cup hemp heart
  • * 1/2 cup chia seed
  • * 3/4 cup almond, freshly ground into tiny piece
  • * 1/2 scant cup honey or agave
  • * 1/2 cup applesauce
  • * 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • * 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • * 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Pour almonds into a food processor and process until small pieces are formed. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, Hemp Hearts, chia seeds, ground almonds.
  3. In a separate, medium-sized bowl, combine wet ingredients. Mix well with a spatula or spoon.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix until combined well, using hands if necessary.
  5. Place bar mixture in an 8 x 8-inch square dish lined with parchment paper and press down firmly.
  6. Chill dish in fridge or freeze in freezer, until mixture is firm.
  7. Cut into bars or squares. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve, to prevent the bars from getting too soft.
