Chocolate Hemp Seed Butter

It’s no secret around here that I absolutely love hemp seeds. They’re delicious to make vegan cheesecake with or throw into a salad.

Anything other seeds or nuts can do…I try to do with hemp seeds. Enter: chocolate hemp seed butter. Sort of like peanut butter or sunflower seed butter, sort of like a homemade Nutella. It’s really in a world of it’s own, though! A delicious world of healthiness and yumminess.

I was going to call this “chocolate hemp seed spread” or “dip” but this can’t be limited to just a dip or just a spread! My son likes to dip pretzels or apples into it – I love it spread on toast or waffles!

You can also add into smoothies, over top ice cream…or just eat it by the spoonful ?

Cashew milk makes it super creamy and cacao powder adds that perfect chocolate-y touch.

You can totally customize this recipe and stir in chia seeds, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, or more hemp seeds after you’ve blended the hemp seed butter for some texture and crunch. It’s also great with a little vanilla extract.

Store it in the fridge (if you don’t gobble it up right away!)
