vegetable shortnening

triangle-shaped shortbread cookies
3 3/4 tsp.
finely chopped pecans
- Melt bittersweet chocolate; stir in vegetable shortening until dissolved.
- Dip points of shortbread cookies into melted chocolate and transfer to a wire rack set over a baking pan.
- Sprinkle each chocolate-dipped point with 1/8 teaspoon finely chopped pecans and let chocolate set. (Note: If working in a warm kitchen, transfer cookies to a refrigerator to chill chocolate.)
